▷ Signed a business agreement on the 15th to introduce a core-shared 5G specialized network model
▷ Real-time analysis of CCTV video data using AI to prevent safety incidents
▷ Effective for technology security and cost reduction
Kolon Global (CEO & President Kim Jung-il), Sejong Telecom (CEO & President Lee Byung-guk), and Hulan (CEO & President Kim Chun-sang) announced on the 15th that they had signed a business agreement to introduce a core-shared 5G specialized network model to construction sites for the first time in Korea. The signing ceremony, held at Hulan's headquarters in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, was attended by ten people, including Lim Sung-gyun, Executive Vice President of Kolon Global, Lee Kwang-mo, Head of Mobile Business Division of Sejong Telecom, and Kim Chun-sang, CEO of Hulan.
The core-shared 5G specialized network model, which is jointly promoted by the three organizations, is a technology that connects the 5G main center with multiple sites in real time, and is planned to be demonstrated as part of the '5G B2B service activation' national project hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Intelligent Information Society Agency (NIA).
The 5G specialized network model can transmit large amounts of data in real time, enabling efficient on-site safety control through high-quality on-site video analysis and large-scale AI CCTV installation. It is also effective for technical security and cost reduction.
The 5G specialized network model will be applied to the 5.2 million㎡construction site of Merck's bio project that Kolon Global is working on, and Sejong Telecom and Huran will provide smart construction safety solutions that converge AI technology based on 5G specialized network communication technology.
“Through this business agreement, we will establish a collaboration system for smart construction safety solutions to significantly increase the safety level of construction sites,” said an official from Kolon Global. ”We expect that the application of 5G specialized networks will become a best practice for effective disaster prevention.”
Meanwhile, in 2022, Kolon Global established an integrated control center to connect CCTVs at all domestic sites to monitor the situation of dispersed sites in real time, and this has enabled them to conduct activities to prevent safety accidents at all sites.
