The world’s longest-distance golf ball, Attomax, hits the Korean market

ATTOMAX, which has received strong attention from many golfers after being certified as the world’s longest-distance golf ball In June last year, is officially going on sale. Kolon Industries FnC Division (hereinafter, Kolon FnC) announced that it would start selling Attomax from March 31st on its fashion platforms, Kolon Mall and The Cart Golf.

The Attomax golf ball is made by processing Attometal, an amorphous metal alloy developed by Attometal Tech Korea, a Kolon group affiliate specializing in new materials, into powder and evenly mixing it with the mantle layer that surrounds the center of the golf ball. Attometal is a new material developed by making the atomic structure of metal irregular to dramatically boost elasticity, hardness, corrosion resistance, and abrasion resistance. In effect, Attomax set a record of flying 13 to 18 meters (15 to 20 yards) further than other golf balls in a test using a swing machine under the equivalent conditions. In June last year, it officially received the ‘longest distance golf ball’ title from the WRC, a world record certification body based in the US – a first for the industry.

To commemorate this, a limited ‘special edition’ of Attomax was introduced at Kolon Mall and The Cart Golf. It received rave reviews and the initial quantity sold out as soon as it was launched. This also raised high expectations for the official launch in 2023.

Attomax will be presented in a clean and sophisticated package in blue, yellow, and orange. It will be available in three versions: Mid-soft (90 mph), Medium (95 mph), and Hard (97 mph), enabling a golf ball to be selected according to the user's club head speed (90-97 mph).

Attomax will be available at Kolon Mall and The Cart Golf from 11:00 am on March 31st. The price is 300,000 won a dozen. To celebrate the launch, customers who purchase the product from Kolon Mall will receive an M.CURIE sunblock package as a gift. An official from Kolon Mall said, “I am very excited to see Attomax on official sale, which many golfers and consumers have been eagerly awaiting.”

In commemoration of the launch, Kolon Mall has produced a YouTube content in collaboration with 'Seri TV' run by the former professional golfer Seri Pak. It is scheduled to be released in April.
