On December 6th, the Tanzanian Minister for Water Resources, Juma Hamidu Aweso, visited Kolon Global to discuss collaboration on sewage treatment and related issues in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
In
addition to the Minister, nine officials from the Tanzania Water and Sewerage
Authority and the Ministry of Planning and Finance attended the meeting and
discussed projects concerning Dar es Salaam sewage treatment.
In November, Kolon Global signed an LOA to build a sewage treatment facility in
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and is expected to enter into a contract in December.
Previously, the company had successfully executed a number of projects in
Tanzania, including the Dodoma water supply project, the construction of the Muhimbili
University Hospital, and the Zanzibar irrigation infrastructure project which
is currently being finalized.
“We are confident that Kolon Global, which has successfully executed many
global projects, will be able to deliver on this also,” said Minister Jumaa
Hamidu Aweso. “We look forward to building and maintaining a great partnership
as we expect many more water and wastewater projects to materialize in Tanzania
in the future.”
