On December 6th, the Tanzanian Minister for Water Resources, Juma Hamidu Aweso, visited Kolon Global to discuss collaboration on sewage treatment and related issues in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

In addition to the Minister, nine officials from the Tanzania Water and Sewerage Authority and the Ministry of Planning and Finance attended the meeting and discussed projects concerning Dar es Salaam sewage treatment.

In November, Kolon Global signed an LOA to build a sewage treatment facility in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and is expected to enter into a contract in December. Previously, the company had successfully executed a number of projects in Tanzania, including the Dodoma water supply project, the construction of the Muhimbili University Hospital, and the Zanzibar irrigation infrastructure project which is currently being finalized.

“We are confident that Kolon Global, which has successfully executed many global projects, will be able to deliver on this also,” said Minister Jumaa Hamidu Aweso. “We look forward to building and maintaining a great partnership as we expect many more water and wastewater projects to materialize in Tanzania in the future.”

“This visit is of great significance to both companies and we are very pleased to have the opportunity to communicate and explore ways to cooperate,” said Kim Jeong-il, President and CEO of Kolon Global. “I hope that today's meeting will open the door to meaningful cooperation and new opportunities. We look forward to sharing our experiences and building a strong partnership.”
