KOLON Group Provides Emergency Aid for Earthquake Victims in Turkey, a Brother Country to Korea

▷ Kolon plans to provide goods worth KRW 330 million for earthquake relief.

▷ Group affiliate products – tents and waterproof / foam mats from Kolon Industries FnC Division and energy supplements from Kolon Pharma are to be sent to provide emergency relief.

Kolon is sending goods worth KRW 330 million in emergency aid to the people of Turkey who suffered enormous damage from the recent earthquake.

Noting the fact that residential facilities for the victims are what is most urgently needed, the Group is to provide sports tents, waterproof mats, and insulating foam mats worth KRW 260 million - 200 each for a total of 600 units, contributed by its fashion subsidiary Kolon FnC. It also plans to donate energy supplements (a source of carbohydrates and a tonic for fatigue) worth about 70 million won through Kolon Pharma.

Kolon plans to deliver these relief items to the Turkey earthquake victims as soon as possible.

Despite the fact that Kolon has no direct business or transactional relationship in Turkey, such as a local subsidiary, it has quickly set out to provide support for the people of Turkey, a ‘brother country’ and assist in relief efforts.

An official from the Kolon Group said, “We express our deepest condolences to the victims of this natural disaster, and hope that they can overcome the effects of the earthquake and recover as soon as possible.”
