    KOLON Future Technology Research Park

    KOLON Future Technology Research Park created within the Magok Industrial Complex in 2018 is designed to drive KOLON’s convergence R&D powered by its forward-looking facilities including the eco-friendly interior and optimized research environmentKOLON Future Technology Research Park, completed through the participation of KOLON Group’s key institutes, is expected to make significant achievements and propel Kolon Group’s businesses of strategic importance forward through future-oriented convergence R&D.

    KOLON Central Research Park

    KOLON established an in-house research institute in 1978 for the first time in the local synthetic fiber industry. KOLON Central Research Park currently consists of 350 researchers at 14 laboratories and establishes technology strategies for the four sectors of Auto, IT, Life, and Eco, thus pushing ahead with the development of cutting-edge materials and their application technologies, reinforcing the company's competitiveness and laying the foundation for new businesses in the future. The institute has achieved many feats: it has applied for over 4,000 patents in Korea and 350 patents overseas; it has won the Jang Yeong-sil Award over 20 times; and it has developed over 400 new products. This research is making significant contributions to the expansion of the KOLON Group's business areas and the creation of a new growth engine.

    KOLON Life Science Central Research Institute

    KOLON Life Science Central Research Institute develops active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), environmental materials, and water treatment products. The institute has successfully advanced into Japan's medicine market based on its portfolio of varied APIs and pharmaceutical intermediates. The institute also supplies anti-microbials, anti-oxidants, and flame retardants to local and multinational companies. The institute aims to reinforce its position as the pioneering frontrunner in the areas of APIs and fine chemicals by developing high-quality anti-cancer drugs, high potency APIs, and cosmetics ingredients.

    The One Day Arts Festival, focused on the visual arts, is organized by Customellow, which has made a name for itself through its unique marketing activities dedicated to culture since its inception in 2010. It provides opportunities to explore the latest trends with artists in diverse areas and gain an appreciation of many aspects of art.

    RE;CODE

    RE;CODE is an upcycling brand that transforms discarded clothes into new designs. It focuses on the creation of a virtuous cycle of resources and fashion that is more than about just style. RE;CODE provides talented independent designers the chance to display their abilities and collaborates with Goodwill Store - an organization working for the rights and interests of intellectually challenged people - to dismantle clothes collected for incineration, thus fulfilling our corporate social responsibility. In addition to clothes, discarded military supplies, car seat covers, airbags, and other materials are upcycled.
